Welcome to Page 2 of the Article where we are discussing the subject of Eternal Life And You.  

Once we have accepted JESUS as our LORD, we now turn to the words of JESUS -  
  

"... I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10

When we discuss Eternal Life And You, it is important to understand that Eternal Life is not static, without growth or development, on the contrary, it is as it's name implies, ALIVE!  We do not just ask JESUS to be our LORD and SAVIOR, and then that's it!  There is so much more in living for HIM.

We are called to grow and develop our spiritual life and follow JESUS, to pick up our cross and follow HIM every day. If we are not growing as Christians, we are slowing down and beginning the backsliding process.  An example would be of shooting an arrow into the air with a very powerful bow.  The arrow would fly through the air for a very long time, but eventually the Law of Gravity resisting the arrow, will cause the arrow to fall to the earth.

There is a Spiritual Law of Gravity as well.  When we are walking closely with the LORD, paying attention to JESUS' will for our lives, daily fellowshipping with HIM, praying to HIM throughout the day, walking in the SPIRIT, we are given a Spiritual Energy and strength from JESUS HIMSELF.

When we are walking in the HIS SPIRIT, the Law of Spiritual Energy is working in us to keep us strong and always moving forward with the proper amount of spiritual strength to assist us in overcoming the world.  When we choose to go our own way, the Spiritual Law of Gravity begins to push us back down to the worldly ways, or our flesh. We quickly learn that there is a battle going on inside of us.

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.  And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.  As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.   I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.  For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing.  Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.  So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.  For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members." Romans 7:15:23

At this point, you should be asking; "Just how can I stay on top of my walk with the LORD, never taking so-called spiritual vacations from my life with HIM?"  You may have tried and tried, only to feel like your life is like a roller coaster ride. During the up times, you feel like you could do anything for JESUS, like leaping over tall buildings.  The bad news is that during the low times, you find yourself hiding from the LORD, like Adam hid from Him in the garden, and stumbling over small bushes.  Of course in Adams case he had multiple uses for the bushes.  J  

GOD has made a way for you to get off and stay off the roller coaster ride forever!
